Air Fryer Paneer Tikka: A Weeknight Favourite

Good food. Less effort. Endless possibilities.

FROM OUR KITCHEN TO YOURS

Using Savore Tandoori Tadka (54g): One full sachet is designed to season approximately 500–600g of paneer, chicken, potatoes, mushrooms or vegetables. For a yoghurt-based marinade, use 5–6 tbsp of thick plain curd; for roasting vegetables, a lighter coating can also work. Marinate paneer and vegetables for 20–30 minutes. For chicken, marinate for 30 minutes to 2 hours in the refrigerator, then cook thoroughly.

A hot air fryer can give paneer and vegetables the browned edges that make tikka so satisfying, without firing up a tandoor. This version uses Savore Tandoori Tadka as the flavour base and leaves room for your favourite vegetables.

Ingredients

  • 500 g paneer, cut into evenly sized cubes
  • 1 capsicum and 1 small onion, cut into broad pieces
  • Thick plain yoghurt or hung curd, enough to coat
  • One full 54g sachet of Savore Tandoori Tadka for approximately 500–600g of ingredients
  • A little neutral oil, if needed
  • Lemon and onion rings, to serve

How to make it

  1. Pat the paneer dry. Cut the capsicum and onion into pieces similar in size to the paneer.
  2. In a bowl, combine thick yoghurt and Savore Tandoori Tadka. Taste only the marinade before it touches any raw ingredients, and adjust the seasoning to your preference.
  3. Coat the paneer and vegetables gently; avoid crumbling the paneer. Refrigerate if marinating beyond immediate preparation.
  4. Preheat the air fryer according to its instructions. Arrange pieces in one layer with some space between them.
  5. Air-fry, turning once as needed, until the surface is golden and the paneer is heated through. Actual temperature and cooking time vary by air-fryer model and piece size; check frequently and cook until heated through.

Cooking note: Cooking time depends on ingredient size and appliance. Follow the instructions on your Savore pack and confirm tenderness or doneness before serving.

Make it your own

  • For crisper edges, use a thick rather than runny yoghurt coating.
  • Cook in batches; overcrowding can leave the paneer steaming rather than browning.
  • Try firm tofu or cauliflower using ingredient-appropriate cooking times.

More ways to serve it

  • Wrap the tikka in roti with onions and mint yoghurt.
  • Add it to a rice bowl with cucumber and greens.
  • Serve as a sharing platter with lemon wedges.
