Nawabi Malai Tikka: One Marinade, Endless Possibilities

Good food. Less effort. Endless possibilities.

FROM OUR KITCHEN TO YOURS

Using Savore Nawabi Malai Tikka (34g): One full sachet is designed to season approximately 500–600g of paneer, chicken, potatoes, mushrooms or vegetables. For a yoghurt-based marinade, use 5–6 tbsp of thick plain curd; for roasting vegetables, a lighter coating can also work. Marinate paneer and vegetables for 20–30 minutes. For chicken, marinate for 30 minutes to 2 hours in the refrigerator, then cook thoroughly.

Creamy, aromatic, and full of flavour. Your kitchen, your rules.

Who says a good tikka needs a restaurant, a tandoor, or a long list of ingredients?

Some days, you're craving a plate of creamy paneer tikka. Other days, it's juicy chicken, roasted mushrooms, or a quick wrap between meetings.

That's the beauty of a versatile marinade. You choose what you're cooking, how you're cooking it, and what you want to turn it into.

With Savore Nawabi Malai Tikka, we're making it easier to bring rich, malai-inspired flavours into your everyday meals.

Whether you're a vegetarian, a chicken lover, or simply experimenting with what's in your fridge, here's how to make this flavour your own.

1. Choose Your Ingredients

Start with approximately 500 g of your preferred main ingredient.

What you're cooking How to prepare it
Paneer Cut into medium-sized cubes
Chicken Use boneless, evenly sized pieces
Tofu Choose firm tofu, press out moisture, and cube
Mushrooms Clean, dry, and halve larger mushrooms
Cauliflower Cut into bite-sized florets
Potatoes Cut into small wedges and partially cook before marinating

You can also combine ingredients. Paneer with capsicum and onions? Absolutely. Chicken with mushrooms? Why not?

The goal is to make the flavour work around your meal, not the other way around.

2. Make Your Nawabi Malai Marinade

For approximately 500 g of your chosen ingredient, start with:

  • 5–6 tablespoons thick plain yoghurt or hung curd

  • One full 34g sachet of Savore Nawabi Malai Tikka for 500–600g of ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon oil (Optional)

  • 1 tablespoon fresh cream (optional, for extra richness)

How to prepare

  1. Add the yoghurt to a mixing bowl.

  2. Mix in the Savore seasoning until evenly combined.

  3. Stir in the oil and optional cream.

  4. Add your chosen ingredient and coat it thoroughly.

  5. Cover and refrigerate while marinating.

For paneer, tofu, and many vegetables, 20–30 minutes is a useful starting point. Chicken should be marinated in the refrigerator, with its cooking instructions followed separately.

A little Savore tip: Thick yoghurt helps the marinade cling to your ingredients. If you're using mushrooms or other moisture-rich vegetables, dry them well before coating.

For approximately 500–600g of your chosen ingredient, use the full Savore sachet.

3. Cook It Your Way

You don't need a tandoor to make a delicious tikka-inspired meal.

Pan-seared

Perfect for paneer, tofu, mushrooms, and smaller chicken pieces.

Heat a lightly oiled pan over medium heat. Arrange the marinated pieces in a single layer, leaving space between them. Turn as needed until lightly golden and cooked appropriately.

Air-fried

Ideal when you want something quick with less hands-on cooking.

Preheat your air fryer, arrange the pieces in a single layer, and cook until the exterior develops colour and the centre is properly cooked.

Oven-roasted

Great for larger portions, vegetables, and meal preparation.

Spread the marinated ingredients on a lined baking tray. Roast until cooked, turning if necessary for even browning.

Grilled

Perfect for a smoky, lightly charred finish.

Thread suitable ingredients onto skewers or place them directly on a grill. Cook while turning occasionally until done.

Important: Cooking times differ by ingredient, size, and appliance. Chicken must reach an internal temperature of 74°C (165°F). Use separate utensils for raw chicken and ready-to-eat ingredients, and never reuse uncooked chicken marinade as a serving sauce.

4. Now Comes the Fun Part: Make It a Meal

Your Nawabi Malai Tikka doesn't have to end as a plate of tikka.

Here are six ways to enjoy it.

The Classic Tikka Platter

Serve your cooked paneer, chicken, tofu, or vegetables with mint chutney, sliced onions, and a squeeze of lemon.

Perfect for starters, hosting, or weekend snacking.

The Nawabi Malai Wrap

Take a warm roti or tortilla, add your cooked tikka, crunchy onions, lettuce, and a spoonful of mint-yoghurt sauce.

Roll it up for an easy lunch or dinner.

The Creamy Tikka Sandwich

Layer your cooked tikka between slices of bread with cheese, onions, and a little chutney.

Toast until golden.

The Nawabi Burger

Use a suitable tikka filling, fresh lettuce, onions, and a creamy sauce between toasted burger buns.

A familiar comfort meal with a malai-inspired twist.

The Malai Tikka Rice Bowl

Start with a bowl of warm rice. Add your cooked tikka, cucumber, carrots, greens, and a yoghurt-based dressing.

A convenient option for meal prep.

The Loaded Tikka Potatoes

Roast or air-fry potato wedges until cooked and crisp. Top with chopped cooked tikka, yoghurt sauce, onions, and fresh coriander.

An easy sharing snack.

5. Make the Flavour Your Own

Prefer something richer? Add a little cream to the marinade.

Want more freshness? Finish with coriander and lemon.

Looking for extra crunch? Pair your cooked tikka with onions, cucumber, or fresh lettuce.

Cooking for a group? Prepare a selection of paneer, chicken, and vegetables separately, then let everyone build their own wraps or bowls.

One seasoning. Different ingredients. Countless possibilities.

6. Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use Nawabi Malai Tikka seasoning for both paneer and chicken?

Yes. Mushrooms, cauliflower, capsicum, and potatoes are good options. Adjust preparation and cooking to suit each vegetable.

Can I prepare the marinade ahead of time?

You can prepare the yoghurt-based marinade in advance and keep it refrigerated. Follow appropriate food-storage guidance, particularly when handling raw chicken.
